Campaign Headquarters – Zee & Zoey’s Cat Ruler of the World Contest Updates!
As usual, Zee and Zoey are nowhere to be found as they leave not only me to manage THEIR campaign, but now they have resorted to child labor, utilizing Peanut and Mia at the helm!
When you are trying to manage six cats to run for the title of Cat Ruler of the World, there is a lot that can change with these finicky felines during the course of a day or two. So, in that regard, since our debate on Tuesday and all the special posts that were done by each cat about the shelter they are campaigning for on Thursday, we have the latest updates fresh off the press (dining room table) for you!!
It seems Austin of CATachresis took Tuesday’s debate about cat napping very seriously, as he apparently went on a 48 hour nap binge and was unable to post about his shelter on Thursday. Let‘s just say it’s like the relationship status in facebook, “It’s Complicated,” and leave it at that. But there’s more, not only did he wake up to find out he is campaigning for a new shelter, Freshfields Animal Rescue, he also has a campaign manager!!
Yes, it’s true! Nellie, The Cat From Hell, has stepped up to the plate to put Austin’s campaign into full swing. No more napping kitties… game is on!! We welcome Nellie and look forward to what she has stored up her paws!! She has already taken charge of the remiss shelter issue and has announced that there is a post about the wonderful people at the Freshfields organization that can be read here.
The Tiniest Tiger Tote
Next update is about our super amazing grand prize package for one lucky random reader. Gracey the Tiniest Tiger whose human was in Namibia, Africa visiting with the Cheetah Conservation Fund caught wind of the contest when she got back and wanted to help this great campaign for a cause. She and Gracey will be donating a Tiniest Tiger Tote from Triple T Studios and we thank them both so much!
The last item is not an update, but we want to remind everyone that our terrific sponsors are not just helping out whichever shelter wins the contest. So many people commenting on our blog and the Cat-idate’s blogs wish all the shelters could win. We agree. And while there is only one grand prize winning shelter, all the runner up shelters will also be getting prizes. Halo and Freekibble will be providing 1000 meals to each runner up shelter* and Zero Odor will be providing assorted odor spray products.

Looks like everyone is looking for a campaign manager. What fun. Our Person has all she can handle right now with the auction and getting it all finished up which takes a while. We wish everyone good luck and hope the shelters all get some good stuff. Take care.

Sometimes it’s serious, sometimes silly, but always with the ultimate message, that cats are amazing creatures and they need our help! I have known a couple people since I started writing who claimed not to be “cat people” and have actually converted a few of them with my words and they are now proud and hopelessly addicted cat lovers!! 🙂
