Vacation Break!
The human keeps mentioning something about a “vacation,” but to us cats, it’s just another day in paradise…. Actually, that’s not true at all. The above photo is nothing but a made up dream sequence, because there has NEVER been a day the human has left us outside unsupervised. She gets really uptight and edgy – even with the fenced in yard, we are watched like hawks by her and the male human when they let us outside on occasion. I suppose the fact that some of us can get a bit overly adventurous might have something to do with it. They always claim they wish we would just settle down and relax and then they would let us out more, but hey, we’re cats and that’s just not how our DNA rolls… Take a look at what really happens!

Anyhow, we’re giving the human a break so she can enjoy a few days off with family who is visiting from out of town. Her two boys, Chris and Joe, will be staying with us, as well as the human male’s daughters, Crystal and Jackie. Nobody asked our opinion, that is for sure. You can be assured that several of us will be hiding under the bed and on top of high shelves for several hours until we are certain these creatures will not harm us. Eventually we will come out, but it will involve the desire for food, so don’t get all crazy when we come out, like we are happy to see you. Even if we purr, let you pet us, and snuggle on your laps, we are just doing it to be “hospitable.” Until then, we will ignore you when you call us by name and if you leave clothes on the floor, or a suitcase opened, it will be fair game for perhaps an “accidental” hairball or two…

And just because the human is on vacation, it does not mean she will let you off the hook with the Pettie voting reminders! But, the good news, the month is already half over, so she will stop mentioning this at the end of every post soon! We hope your Humans enjoy their break with the family visiting. Our mum used to worry that we would escape out of the garden too. We have an 8 foot high hedge one side with netting on the back of it so we can’t walk through it, and a 8 foot high wooden fence on the other side of the garden. In the beginning we used to climb up the inside of the hedge and sit on top for a great view of everything that was happening around us. We don’t bother now we are older (12) and we can go in and out of the garden as we please. We are only allowed out in the fields when we accompany our mum.
Guys, humans can come in handy. We’ve trained nearly every visitor who comes here in the proper greeting and touching of each one of us, and some of them have even learned to bring gifts! Get out there, and get in those humans’ faces, and in the meantime we hope everyone enjoys the big visit.
Happy Vacation to those parents. We know they will have a great time.

We know that some humans can be scary but we also know you’ve gotta trust your human when it comes to safety and fun. We think you’ll end up being glad that your human’s entertaining you with people who will want to cuddle and keep telling you all how beautiful you are. Take a break when you need to and remember you’re completely loved!
It looks like there is a lot of fun spaces and things to explore in that wonderful yard of yours! Have fun, stay safe and listen to your Mom — relax! MOL. Like that would ever happen with a Bengal.

Thank you everyone for the kind vacation wishes!! Had a wonderful time with the family and am back to work now! The cats sure did figure out quick how to use the extra humans to their advantage and DaBird playtime and Tempatations treats were the main attraction for them!!
It was such an honor for me to meet you both Zee & Zoey and the whole furry gang and see the famous tiki hut during the “vacation”. Thanks to your humans for a delicious dinner and all of you for a wonderful evening. Cheers!
