Caturday Adventures – Look Who’s Come a Knocking…

Because we have such nice weather all year round, we never have a shortage of guests dropping by the house to visit the Zee and Zoey gang. Here is just a typical day in paradise…

Yeah, I'm looking at you.... can Zee come out and play? Oh, and bring some peanuts too, and by that, I don't mean your cat, Peanut...

Look... it's Callie the Calico resting in the bird bath in the side yard

Hey Callie... a little birdie told me you might be looking for me...

Hey Callie... a little birdie told me you might be looking for me...

Tom Cat visits so frequently, we feel he is one of the family...

la de da... .ho hum... nothing to see here... if I just keep my head down low, I'm sure they'll just think I'm another cat...

  1. lol! The last photo is not only hilarious and rings true!

Did I ever tell you I am completely and totally OBSESSED with squirrels? I have loved them for nearly as long as I have loved cats!

I find them to be highly intelligent, industrious and humorous beings…I just adore them!

    • Deb says:

Caren – I know you are obsessed with squirrels – so am I – ever since I was a little girl I have loved these creatures!! Not everyone shares our obession however…. something about rodents chewing wires in the attic!! I could watch them for hours!

  2. Marg says:

You really do have a variety of guests around there. You even have guest cats. What fun Looks like you are having a party. Take care and have a super week end.

    • Deb says:

Marg – it does look like some sort of fun party!! The possum looks like the Mat Hatter in Alice in Wonderland!! Thanks for dropping by!

  3. We have live and let live policy around here too. I love squirrels and possums. We had Petie a baby possum share the porch last year with Domino. He’s big now and still makes an occasional appearance.

    • Deb says:

Layla – I love how you describe it as a “live and let live policy.” I can’t imagine it being any other way around here – we love interacting with nature and find it far more entertaining to watch than TV!

  4. Kristin G. says:

You’ve had all kinds of visitors lately. That’s a pretty calico. The squirrels are driving Zoe nuts here!!

    • Deb says:

Kristin – the squirrels come right up to the window and drive our gang nuts too!! Tom Cat is the one, however, that just pushes the cats to the edge of insanity when they see him lying so nonchalantly in the walk way!

  5. Brian says:

Those silly squirrels are favorites of mine too, our back yard is their playground. They are gathering up our pecans…they must know something about the coming winter! Have a happy weekend everyone!

    • Deb says:

Oh boy Brian!! Pecans…. our squirrels would be jealous!! All they get here is peanuts and sunflower seeds that they have to try to get before the bluejays get them!!! I like your description of the backyard being a playground!1 So true!

  6. Carolyn says:

Terrific photos as usual 🙂 OK I’ll come clean. I had no idea that last one was a possum until the comments!! We don’t have them here! Now I know what they look like and can amaze my friends with my knowledge! lol Have a great weekend xox

    • Deb says:

LOL – that’s so funny Caro!! Glad we could be the one’s educating you for once instead of the other way around!! That possum would surely give Austin a jump!!

  7. Oh Dog! That last pic looks STRANGELY similar to a opossum. We have them squirrels around here too. I love watching them doing their aerobics in the trees.

  8. meowmeowmans says:
