April Showers Bring May Flowers

Rolz on high alert for possible lizard invasions...

There is no doubt that living in Florida is like having gifts-from-God weather on a daily basis. From the gloriously sun drenched days to the tropical nights filled with the lingering scents of jasmine and orange blossoms intoxicatingly enticing the nostrils, it is a wonderment indeed. But even for us in Florida, the adage “April Showers Brings May Flowers” has special meaning to our 24/7/365 day calendar that barely has a change in seasons.

Somehow in May, it is as if the dusty, dirty film of winter has been lifted and all the plant life takes on an enchanting new look and feel. Everything just looks so clean and fresh and has a renewed beauty after a rain shower cleanses the landscape. Colors become completely saturated in tones so intense, vivid, and bright that one would almost think God were Photoshopping the entire vision, so brilliantly beautiful that it could not possibly be real.

But it is real, as our kitties will quite willingly tell you. We decided to take them out for a Sunday morning romp to enjoy the coolness of the early day in our fenced in backyard before it got hot from the afternoon sun. I think these pictures say it all, without any more words necessary….

Thanks Caren! We are a bit spoiled here and I try not to take it for granted! The best is at night when the temperatures are pefect… tiki drink in hand and a cd plugged in with jazz music… As far as the babies… oh yes, they are mighty hunters indeed and appreciate you recognizing that fact! 🙂
