\"\"<\/a>In my first post, I made reference to my bed, and I promised to write more about it. Being a cat of my word, behold the Sideways Couch.<\/p>\n

This is my bed, which the humans call the Sideways Couch, or sometimes “the loft”. Before I moved in, the humans used to sit on this couch. (So I hear.) Around the time I was born, a new couch was purchased, and this older couch was moved into the kitchen for temporary storage until it could be given away. It was still waiting to be given away when I moved to Boston, so I claimed it!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Sideways Couch is more than just a bed for shnoozing on- it’s a complete playground. The couch can by climbed on all sides, all the way to the top. If I climb on the sitting part of the couch, I can hang upside down from the upper armrest, and I land on the bottom one when I let go. Sometimes I get a running start and leap onto a side and just hang there for a bit. It’s fun, really!<\/p>\n

From the top of the couch, I can jump up onto the nearby hutch, which is the highest point in my bedroom! I can also just relax on the top, and look out the nearby window. It’s a great spot to spy on squirrels and birds in the backyard. It’s also a place to stretch out and get some sun.<\/p>\n

When I want to get down from the top, I can take any of three routes. If I’m planning on staying in my bedroom, or eating, I usually jump onto the counter, then to the floor. If I’m planning on joining the humans in the living room, I leap to the table, and then down to the floor. Occasionally I’ll leap directly from the top of the Sideways Couch all the way down to the floor, but that only happens when there’s lasers involved!<\/p>\n

Big fan of lasers, btw. I can never say no to a good laser dot chase…<\/p>\n
