\"\"<\/a>It\u2019s an interesting dichotomy. I\u2019m literally one of the most goal-oriented, over-achieving, workaholics on this planet, but I\u2019m also one of the biggest procrastinators you\u2019ll ever meet when I don\u2019t want to do something. My brain and body merge into a giant brick wall, rendering me helpless to the inevitable. I\u2019ll do things I normally try to avoid \u2013 cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, laundry, grueling yard work \u2013 and I\u2019ll also spend an inordinate amount of time, above and beyond what I normally do of surfing the internet looking at cats, leopard print, shoes, puppies, and stories of kids who hilariously react to parents who tell them they\u2019re going to have a new brother or sister. But, alas, all good things must come to an end, and the time has come\u2026to dig through my files of paperwork and begin preparing my income taxes.<\/p>\n

For me, taxes equate to an annoying task, for my cats, an exciting invitation to playtime!<\/p><\/div>\n

The crazy part, once I dig in, I realize I\u2019m not nearly as disorganized as I thought, and the process is relatively painless. And if I really put my mind to it, I could probably make it even easier next year by just keeping up on things as they come, rather than waiting to compile everything all at once. As it was, it only took me a couple hours this year, including the help from my cats, and once it was all done, the feeling of release and accomplishment was amazing!<\/p>\n

Take that taxes! Bam. Done.<\/p><\/div>\n

I suppose that\u2019s what it must be like to be a cat on the hunt for prey. You mentally prepare for hours, then once you see your target, you pounce! You then have that victorious feeling of capturing your victim, and when all it\u2019s all done, you\u2019re rewarded with a wonderful nap for all your hard work and effort!<\/p>\n

Now that the taxes are done, off to whatever. Like surfing the internet to look at pictures of cats…or puppies… or shoes…<\/p><\/div>\n
