Thanks for the update Peanut!! We sure hope everyone nominates their favorite blogs, blog posts, blog photos, and videos!<\/p><\/div>\n

Once again \u2013 exciting news in the world of pet blogging! Nominations are open for the 2016 BlogPaws Pet Blogging Nose-to-Nose Social Media Awards<\/a>. This is exciting for a variety of reasons, most of which is quality and striving for personal excellence for those of us that blog on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

Let’s be honest – whether you’re a blogger, a blog reader, or both – it\u2019s a lot more enjoyable to read a post that is well-written, researched, and thought out.\u00a0Notwithstanding pet-speak, you know, that pet invented language where a blogger writes in the perceived voice of the pet, making spell-check go all wacky, nobody likes to read a poorly crafted post rife with spelling and editing errors.<\/p>\n

Organizations like BlogPaws<\/a> help set the bar for excellence throughout the year by giving those who communicate\u00a0online a platform to be judged for their expertise, creativity, performance, and achievements in 12 award categories:<\/p>\n

Me personally, as a 2016 ambassador, I\u2019m not eligible to enter this year, but that\u2019s okay. I\u2019m honored enough to have been chosen to represent the BlogPaws organization on behalf of this year\u2019s conference. But my goodness gracious, for those of you that qualify, please pat yourself on the back for your achievements and nominate yourself. You know better than anyone else what works of yours stand out and there\u2019s no reason in the world not to enter.<\/p>\n

This was the certificate I received last year from BlogPaws as a\u00a0“Best Cat Blog”\u00a0finalist\u00a0for Zee & Zoey’s Cat Chronicles. I felt it was for my writing, Jazmine was certain it was for all the pictures I featured of her. I guess it was probably a combination…<\/p><\/div>\n

Or if you\u2019re a loyal supporter, please take the time to nominate some of your favorite blogs, blog posts, blog photos, or blog videos in whatever category best fits. These people work tirelessly to educate\/inform\/entertain and it\u2019s nice to be able to let them know you really appreciate the quality work they put out. You can find out the details on what criteria the judges will be using for each category here<\/a>. And keep in mind, judging is done by a panel of distinguished professionals not by popular vote.<\/p>\n

FINALISTS<\/span><\/strong> will be announced on or about May 7, 2016 and each finalist will receive 1 (one) free conference pass to this year\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n

WINNERS<\/span><\/strong> will be announced at the BlogPaws 2016 conference in Phoenix, AZ during a live red carpet event on Saturday evening, June 25, and will receive a one of a kind personalized trophy as well as a package of other prizes TBD.<\/p>\n
