Kizmet, Mia, Rolz, and Zee are very happy to see “Big Red” back on the bed!<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s that time of year – I dig out the one sweatshirt I own and have to wear socks with my shoes. “Big Red,” our thick and fuzzy red blanket comes out of storage to cover the bed. Yes, it’s our annual cold spell in South Florida and we have to do our best to ward off the chill\u00a0until it’s back to our typical 70\/80\u00a0degree temperatures,\u00a0which should probably be tomorrow if I’m correct. For the cats it means three\u00a0things – extra snuggling time together, zoomies at night, and OPEN WINDOWS!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yup, for my gang, since they don’t go outside, the next best thing is soaking up the sun and absorbing all the whiffs\u00a0that an open window allows! The guest bedroom is the window of choice and so for Wordless Wednesday, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite recent window pictures along with a bonus “zoomie” picture. Have a lovely week all – is it open window season where you are too?<\/p>\n

Depending on the moment, the \u00a0guest bedroom window can attract a single visitor, or draw a crowd as seen here. It’s not open yet, but it’s best to be ready just in case!<\/p><\/div>\n

Ah… It appears we have company and that’s what all the fuss is about.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Zee<\/a>

Hmmm… I wouldn’t be so sure Mr. Squirrel… I think you best scamper off just to be safe!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Jazmine<\/a>

Jazmine is asking me to open the window – you can see it in her eyes!<\/p><\/div>\n

Finally! Fresh, glorious air! The window is open and Jazmine and Peanut\u00a0are reveling in the sights, smells, and sounds that are assaulting their senses.<\/p><\/div>\n

Jazmine has had enough of the window sill and decides to share the fresh air and sun puddle with Peanut.<\/p><\/div>\n

Jazmine has left Peanut\u00a0alone – she probably heard a noise in the kitchen and went to investigate in case it was food. All that fresh air can make a kitty hungry!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Kizmet<\/a>

Nope! Looks like Jazmine was waiting for Peanut to leave so she could grab the pillow on the floor! Nice of her to let Kizmet have the window sill!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Cats<\/a>

Open windows during the day are great, but once night falls, the cool air gives the cats a serious case of the “zoomies” – that fun phenomenon where they run around like lunatics fueled by extra bursts of energy!<\/p><\/div>\n
