Well, it\u2019s official\u2026 Jackie has gone back to Boston and the house is back to it’s too quiet self. Dan and I already miss her tons and so do the kitties. Their routine was a bit out of whack with her around \u2013 doors that we typically keep opened were closed (Jackie\u2019s bedroom where there is a window for squirrel and bird TV) and doors that we typically keep closed (the guest bedroom with carpeting and lots of breakables) were opened for Jackie\u2019s cousin, Katie, who came by for a visit the last week Jackie was with us and who does not like to sleep with her door closed.<\/p>\n

We also had a lot more company drop by for family events and for the most part I think the cats actually enjoyed the change in routine. Their everyday, ordinary lives took on a whole new spin \u2013 kind of like one big and new adventure for them and as long as they could make themselves comfortable, they adapted wonderfully! Now that I think about it, I don’t think the cats were the only ones who enjoyed a change in scenery… I think Dan and I did too! Take a look for yourself with this fun montage of pictures we got that captures the essence of \u00a0the past couple of weeks for all of us!<\/p>\n

There is no doubt having Jackie around brought some much-needed youth and joy into our house… Seen here she and I are enjoying a silly moment as we dream about getting out of the hot sun to go get some ice cream!<\/p><\/div>\n

Ah!! Pure bliss for Kizmet, Jazmine, Peanut, and Mia who are thrilled that the guest bedroom is open for cat napping thanks to Katie!<\/p><\/div>\n

Jazmine has been with us since last March… it was not until Jackie came to visit that she realized we had this awesome cat tower to climb and play with! Silly cat… Seen here is her playing with Rolz!<\/p><\/div>\n

With Jackie around, I was bringing my laptop into the kitchen to do my cat work rather than holing myself up in the office. If you build it, they will come…the cats were more than happy to follow me to the kitchen. Seen here in a rare photo moment is me with all of the cats. And yes, they are on the counter…<\/p><\/div>\n

My cat ladies in training…This great shot was taken a few minutes before we left to take Jackie out to a celebration dinner…she turned sweet 16 while staying with us! Her beautiful cousin, Katie, is on my right and believe it or not, we actually did NOT wear the ears to dinner! Meow!<\/p><\/div>\n

In between the constant coming and goings in the house, Zee and Zoey share some private nap time on the couch together.<\/p><\/div>\n
