It’s funny – I have actually been taking it a bit more easy the past couple of weeks, but I still feel tired. I think it is a combination of that sad and melancholy feeling that often occurs after being with the kids for a week during the holidays, and then, just like that, the house is quiet and they are gone. I also had to go back to my administrative day job after several days off and must admit it was hard to get back into that routine when my mind was still at home daydreaming of kitties, blogging, taking down decorations and things of that nature!

Oh well, Kizmet has it right… we’re settling back into the routine, he’s got his naps fully under control, and it’s already Wednesday with the weekend only 2 days away!!

  1. Seeing Kizmet makes us want to go take a nap. 🙂

We’re tired, too! Post-holiday malaise is what we thought. Seeing Kizmet made us smile and feel all warm and fuzzy, though, so things are looking up. 🙂

  4. so happy to say that my Mom AND Dad are both retired! Though most don’t even know it because they are so bizzy, bizzy…but I do have them all to myself most of the time…whew! Somehow there has to be a way to not get so darn warn out from the Holidays. We probably do less than anyone over here, but yet I am still exhausted.

    • Deb says:

Yeah… I know what you mean, Fisher. I think for me, a lot of the exhaustion is mental… I really go through a mini kind of depression when the kids leave and it is hard to kick start myself back into reality…

  6. Awwww… Kizmet is napping so peacefully and so cute! I wouldn’t get any work done if I had that sweet sight in front of me.

  7. Kizmet, you are a cat’s cat and a superior napper. It would be hard to resist a nap of my own if I came upon you so sweetly snoozing.

  8. Yeah, there often is a letdown when you’ve been having a positive experience and it’s over – such as a holiday or visitors, so can understand. Well, Jan could understand. We furries just take a nap.

That is an EXTREMELY cute photo of Kizmet. Are those his paws over his eyes? Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.
