Sometimes With Cats, Love Hurts…

my-gang

Just look at these sweet faces!! These are my seven furbabies and I love them with all my heart even though sometimes it can hurt!

I obviously love my kitties my than words could possibly convey, but I gotta admit that sometimes loving them hurts. Such as when Peanut makes biscuits on my belly – sometimes she does it with such vigor that it nearly draws blood with her sharp claws and it rearranges my innards to the point I hear all kinds of weird gurgling noises coming from my stomach.

Or those times that one of the cats will use my head as a launching pad when I am  innocently sitting on the couch… this too can draw blood, or at the very least scare the heck out of me. And then, of course, the numerous times I fall as a result of tripping over one of them as they wind around my legs as I try to walk or the times I trip over a toy on the floor…

But there is no love more painful than that of trying to show someone(or somecat as the case may be) just how much you love them… Check it out to see what I mean…

Jazmine has her eyes set on Kizmet… Sure hope he turns around to listen to what she has to say…

Love-hurts-2

Oh dear… this kind of looks like it might hurt. You better stop squirming and pay attention, Kizmet!

  3. Kitties sure do share tough love. Kizmet is remarkably patient!

  4. meowmeowmans says:

Oh yeah, that kneading with the claws hurts like the dickens, doesn’t it? 🙂

  5. Connie says:

I have a scar on my leg from when Muffin wanted to be with me and missed..

  6. Oh yeah, my peeps have witnessed stuff like that, for sure. Sometimes I have to grab onto my sister Tobias and give her a really good wash, you know? I’ve just GOTTA.

And speakin’ of Toby, she has claws like needles. Peeps don’t know how old she is but say she could be as old as me. Maybe even older. And I’m eleven! Eleven and a half!!! But she’s just the size of a kitten and let me tell you… she has kitten-like claws. Sharp as needles, they are. The peeps have the scars to prove it.

  7. When I (Zorro) make biscuits on Mum and she’s saying “ouch ouch ouch” instead of “you’re my fur baby”, we know with Pixie that we’re going to have a pawdicure very soon ! Purrs

  8. Sue Brandes says:

That kneading does hurt sometimes. I have one that will nip you sometimes if wants attention.

  9. Flynn says:

Flynn’s biscuit making can be painful with little sharp claws, but Eric’s was far more so. Laying in bed with 23 pounds of Eric standing on your tummy kneading away for 15 or more minutes until he decided to go to sleep…on my head. I do miss my furry head warmer.

  10. I like to hold Ernie down and lick him til his head is all wet. Ernie says it hurts, but I know that’s not true 🙂 ~Wally

  11. MOL I sometimes put the “lovins” on Tigger so that he cries out with delight! 😉
