Grab the Camera – the Cat’s Being Cute Again!

What? Too subtle? You’re right, I’ll be back in a second with more lights!!

Hi Everyone! You might not want to admit it, but we all know its true – it’s that time of year when we humans can’t help but involve our pets in the holiday festivities and our over the top, compulsive behaviors. You know what I mean – how many of you have tried to put a Santa hat or blinking reindeer antlers on your dog or cat, hoping to take that quick and blurry photo as they instantly try to take it off?  Or how many of you have a stocking hung for your pet with his or her name lovingly bedazzled on it or buy special toys and gifts for them to open on Hanukkah or Christmas morning? Any of this ringing a bell? Do you buy holiday cards with a pet theme, or do you take the family holiday picture and include the furry gang? Do you sign all your pets’ names on your holiday cards? Are they included as topics in your yearly family newsletter? Maybe you buy them that adorable sweater to wear, ignoring the look of embarrassment and disdain from them as they valiantly struggle to take it off. Or maybe you have a specially themed tree or ornaments devoted to your precious pet/s. Or perhaps it’s that special treat you cook for them – their favorite turkey and giblet dinner, cut in just the right bite sized pieces, served in a cut crystal glass bowl.

Well, if you do one, some, or all of the above, good for you. I know some people scoff at those of us who “humanize” our pets, but I don’t care what they think. I can easily and proudly admit to 98% of the above. And why not? We all love our pets so much and I know in our household that Jazz, Harley, Zee, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, and Rolz are a never ending source of love and joy to Dan and I and very much a part of the family. They make our world a better place, so why not include them in the festivities, after all, they deserve some special attention too… I’m even willing to overlook the over abundance of  naughty to focus on the nice!

Zee and Zoey love the festivities and extra-special attention so much, that they would love to see pictures of your pets in a holiday theme (we know you have them) to post and share with everyone in the Photos section of this blog – they are both in such a good mood due to the spirit of giving, that they are even willing to break the rules and let you send, not just pictures of cats, but dogs as well! But, beware, the dog thing is a limited offer! Once the holidays are over, I am sure our precious King and Queen will no longer allow such nonsense.  Just send a jpeg of your pet with its name and breed to info@zeezoey.com

Meows to all!

My mommy-pet does this stuff all the time -I hope it is CATching to other human pets; CATering to the feline persuasion is a very CATharsis experience for humans.

Objection, objection! Just where does the 2% come in? For sure, animals have played an important role in our lives during the Christmas season. As witnessed by the original birth of the baby Jesus with all the animals in attendance in the manger. Happy holidays everyone.

Ugg… I was about to say I NEVER put a sweater on one of my animals, hence the 98%, but, rats, you are right… I am 100% guilty of all! I had Meadow our Mini Pin wear a Christmas sweater!! LOL!!
