Happy 6th Birthday to My Sweet Zee!!!!!!

While today may be Wordless Wednesday, more importantly, today is my sweet little Zee’s 6th Birthday!! I hope you will all take a quick minute to send your birthday love to him on this special day, because he really is a special cat in every sense of the word. He has filled not only my life with absolute love, joy, devotion, and companionship, but that of Dan, his beloved Zoey, and his children Mia, Peanut, and Rolz, who adore the ground he walks on. I could talk about this sweet boy for days on end, but suffice it to say he is one of the most amazing creatures I have ever had the pleasure to share my life with.

Have a great day my special boy!! Love from human Mom and Dad, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, Rolz, Jazz, and Harley!! (And your son from Boston, Zeuss Catt)

Will the Real Zee and Zoey Please Stand Up!!

After I got back from BlogPaws and all the swag was dumped on the kitchen floor, the cats were suitably curious and impressed…. but wait a minute, what’s that over there in the corner?

While the others are distracted by the cat toys, Zee notices something in the far distance and raises his tail as a signal of alarm to the others!

"What the heck?" hisses Zoey as she jumps up to the counter for a better view to asess the potential dangerous situation

What the kitties did not realize, is that I had taken a Flat Pets class at BlogPaws and made life size standing duplicates of Zee and Zoey!! Sure, the edges were jaggedy and I did a bad job, but to the cats, they were certain intruders were in the house and they were NONE TO PLEASED!!! While I don’t have pictures of everyone’s reaction, I can firmly tell you now how my cats would react to the question I have asked myself numerous times lately – how would they feel if we brought another cat-mate into our household? It’s Caturday… BlogPaws One Week Later!

Okay – here it is a week after BlogPaws and I am finally getting around to a post to gab about this amazing event! I was waiting for the return of my camera so that I could share some pictures, but, guess what?? Here’s the funny part – now that I finally have the camera – not only did I take far LESS photos than I thought, but the majority of them that I did take were so TERRIBLE that I would not dare post any of them for fear of losing all of you as friends! So, without further ado, here we go!

Getting to BlogPaws was quite the ordeal – living in South Florida, I was already quite apprehensive about a trip that I was so excited to take just a few days previously. In Florida, 24/7 weather commentary about living in the “cone of death” can wear on your nerves and cause enormous stress even on a normal day. Then to find out Irene was heading up the east coast just in time to introduce herself in time for the conference, well, it really put a damper on my already frazzled spirits. Read more

BlogPaws – Present and Past

Yeah, I get it, double take, right? Just who is this impostor in my house? Is it really true that I have clothes that are not leopard inspired? Ugg… I’m so embarassed to be seen in public like this!

When I say BlogPaws, Present and Past, what I really mean is present… as in lots and lots of presents!!! As you all know by now, my camera has had its own BlogPaws journey and has finally found its way home a couple of days ago thanks to Caren Gittleman of Cat Chat with Caren and Cody who was kind enough to send it to me. Well, when I opened the box, was I ever in for a BIG surprise!

Not only did Caren take the time to wrap my camera in industrial strength packing tape and bubble wrap to ensure its safe arrival, but she jammed the box to the rim with swag for the kitties!! Lots and lots of swag to the point I thought I was in the midst of a Petsmart holiday sale! Now mind you, my cats are already spoiled with kitty toys of every shape, make, and style you can imagine. Then, when I came home from BlogPaws last week and dumped all the cat loot I accumulated on the floor, their toy inventory became even more superfluous. But what Caren and Cody sent, wow, it just sent my kitty cats off the deep end with joy!!! Read more
