Happy 3rd Annual World Cat Day!
I must admit this is a new day to me and I feel remiss that I have not gotten my cats a proper Hallmark card to celebrate this noteworthy day. I found out about it on facebook and the whole idea is to join the world by posting a picture, poem, story, etc., in honor of your cats – past or present – in your blog and sharing your blog link in the cat blogosphere.
Well, the picture I chose is of Zoey with her son Rolz who was 7 weeks at the time. This picture never fails to tug at my heart strings and it just epitomizes to me what love is – simple, pure, unconditional, and precious. For that is what my cats are to me – from Gigi-fluffy-Sharon – who was my first cat I remember when I was a young girl, to the current seven I have now (Zee, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, Rolz, Harley, and Jazz), I love you all dearly and could not imagine a life without you. Each of you have given me my unique moments and memories – some wonderful, some even frustrating (just how many times can you use the litter box in a row after I scoop it?) Nonetheless, you have always been at my side, giving me your unconditional love and devotion. To me, every day is Cat Day, but, in keeping with tradition, cheers to my sweet babies on this August 8th!!!
Woof!! It’s Caturday!
Editors Note: It’s been a while since we’ve had a post from our favorite guest blogger – Zee and Zoey’s son – Zeuss Catt from Boston. He decides to critique a toy that is very popular in the canine world…. regrettably, he does not give it a full “paws up” of approval. He does know he is a cat, right?
Woof
by Zeuss Catt
One of the humans brought home a very strange toy. It was presented to me while I was lounging upstairs in my room, and I must write that I’m not impressed. This particular toy is called a woof.

I’d always wanted to try out a “dog toy”, and you won’t find a more classic “dog toy” than the woof. It’s blue and has a comically weird shape. “How weird is this shape,” you ask? Think “cartoon-bone” weird, and did I mention that it’s blue? When you squeeze it, the woof makes a loud, shrill squeak, although not usually for a prolonged amount of time. At least, not while I played with it. The human seemed to love making the woof squeak, and waving this odd object in my face. Read more ![]()
Wordless Wednesday… Back to Normal
Reality Check…

Left to Right - Crystal, myself, and Jackie enjoying a summer cruise on the Gulf of Mexico in Key West as we wait for the beautiful sunset to come.
My lazy days of wide brimmed straw hats with pretty bows, billowy sun dresses in carefree floral prints, sipping frozen margarita’s, and drifting down the Gulf of Mexico in a cruise boat as I watch the sun setting to a glorious canvas of hues too magnificent to describe are over.
