So What, Who Cares…

Despite that Zee had no one to blame but himself for Zoey’s pregnancy, he clearly had no idea how quickly his newly “extraordinary” life with Zoey was going to change, and not for the better, in his opinion. For the next three months, his beautiful, irresistible, agile, and athletic partner was changing day by day to a fat, lethargic, and uninspiring cat. Zee still stayed close by her side, but you could see he missed the “old” Zoey he had fallen in love with. Read more

The Early Days… One Hour at a Time

By 8:30 in the morning, Zoey had given birth to her four perfect little babies  and she immediately basked in her role of Mama and seemed to be a natural at it. But, when I came home from work later that night, not so much… Dan was already in Boston, so when I opened the bedroom door alone to check on the new family, Zoey bolted out without a second glance. Umm. Okay. I’m sure it was no big deal – she found Zee and was so excited to see him, rubbing and nuzzling against him and just gibber-jabbering away about nothing in particular. I just stood and watched in amazement, waiting for her to return to her motherly duties,  but she had completely forgotten her new and helpless family and claimed no moral obligation to them whatsoever. All Packed Up and Ready to Deliver

In retrospect – it was all very clear cut and straight forward – definitely nothing out of the ordinary for me. Zee was a male. Zoey was a female. Zoey went into heat. Zee acted accordingly. Synchronicity – When a Small World Becomes Smaller

From previous posts, you already know I am a strong believer in karma and the synchronicity of past, present, and future in one’s life. As it is, we live the moments of our life in “real time” so that we don’t necessarily know or understand at the time, that one of these snapshots will someday become significant or have greater meaning down the road. Some call these greater connections fate, some call them destiny, and some don’t believe at all and just label them a “coincidence.” In our house, we are strong proponents of the mindset of the famous author, SQuire Rushnell, who calls these wonderful later-on connections a “godwink.” Meaning, that sometimes you just question life. You question your purpose. You don’t understand why life has to be so hard or teach us so many lessons. Then, out of nowhere, you get what you think is an odd coincidence and you kind of stand up and take notice. What’s happening is that you are actually getting a personal message, a wink so to speak, of reassurance from above to keep the faith and that everything will be all right. For me, that moment was Heat Cat 5, that cat that I was introduced to out of the blue, by a complete stranger, a US Army soldier stationed in Kuwait, who had me post the cat’s picture in my “Other People’s Cats” photo album I have on the blog. Keep Your Enemies Close…

by Zeuss Catt at 3:00 PM • Videos, Zeuss Catt5 Comments

Over the past few months, I’ve made a lot of friends.  Most of these friends are humans, who I seem to always get along with.

I also have made a few animal friends, like Sandy the neighborhood dog / nomad…

I guess it’s obvious why I have a lot of friends, but you might be surprised to learn that I have a few enemies as well.  Read more
