The Many Shades of Mother’s Day for a Cat Mom
It’s no secret I’m all about my cats. I’ve had cats my whole life, so I’ve been a cat mom to not only my wonderful gang of Zee, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, Rolz, Kizmet, and Jazmine, but to many angel cats too, like my precious Jazz and Harley. I know lots of you are cat mom’s too, so to all of you, I wish you a Happy Cat Mom’s Day!
Much as I love my cats, I’m also a mom in many other ways. Whether it be a mom to my boys (so what if they’re full grown-adults, they’re still boys to me), Chris and Joe, or a grateful-to-have-them-in-my-life, step-mom to Dan’s kids, Crystal, Michael, and Jackie. I’m also a daughter to my mom, and a daughter-in-law to Dan’s mom. I consider myself a grandmom to my kids assorted pets, like Chris’s dogs, Rick and Rocco, and I also consider myself a mom to his partner, Jason.
No matter the many shades of mom, I wish you the best of days. Mom is a word that means something different to each of us and I respect those differences. Mom’s can bring up good memories, happy memories, sad memories, and even memories we’d rather forget about all together. For today, I just want to focus on the good I have in my life and I wish you all a great Mom’s Day and a great Sunday! Here’s a few pictures to celebrate the many shades of mom in my life!
What a sweet post this is. And how smart you are to define “mom” in so many ways. It looks like you share your big heart with so many people–animal and human alike. Hope you got to spend some time pampering yourself yesterday!

You have a good Mother’s Day? Pretty borin’ around here, I’m afraid, but SOMETIMES, boring can be a GOOD thing. PURRS.
