Happy Birthday America!!
We are wishing all of our human and furry friends a SAFE and Happy 4th of July!! While we celebrate America’s Birthday, please keep in mind that this holiday can be very stressful and traumatic for our pets. Keep them indoors and try to provide them with a comfortable and secure haven if they are easily spooked by loud noises. If you are leaving the house for any reason, keep a radio or TV on to help subdue the sounds and remove any items that might break off a shelf or bookcase if kitty suddenly jumps to a high place to hide. Animals have a much more heightened sense of sounds and smells and we must respect that and prepare accordingly…

Happy Independence Day! That is a cute — and very patriotic — graphic. I’m not a fan of this holiday because I hate to see my cats so scared. Thankfully, it will be over soon!

Hope you had a great 4th. We were fortunate that it rained a bit yesterday afternoon…. at least enough so the area wasn’t a tinderbox when the fireworks began.
