Me, crocheting on the couch – the kittens are approximately 6 months old – Mia stretched on my legs, Peanut snuggled by my knee, and Rolz sleeping by my hip

Although I’ve always enjoyed writing – you know – I was always the wacko who enjoyed essay questions instead of multiple choice, actually liked to research and write term papers, and have been the inherent “go to” girl when that perfect business letter or proposal had to be written at the office, I never really thought I would write a book. Dream about writing a book… sure, in that regard I’ve written dozens of Best Sellers. But to actually go from sentence one to twenty-six chapters later and write a book… wow… that would seem all but impossible.

Although this blog is barely a month old, the one thing I have quickly learned is to be flexible. I try to be organized and schedule my posts ahead of time in a somewhat logical manner. As I mentioned, I want to get us back on track and start talking about how the book, “The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey – a Journey of the Extraordinarily Ordinary”was created. But, because a blog by nature is interactive, I am constantly being presented with amazing comments and feedback from my readers, many of them complete strangers that have reached out to me with such wonderful stories that need to be shared, causing me the need to re-adjust my game plan!

In my first post, I made reference to my bed, and I promised to write more about it. Being a cat of my word, behold the Sideways Couch.

This is my bed, which the humans call the Sideways Couch, or sometimes “the loft”. Before I moved in, the humans used to sit on this couch. (So I hear.) Around the time I was born, a new couch was purchased, and this older couch was moved into the kitchen for temporary storage until it could be given away. It was still waiting to be given away when I moved to Boston, so I claimed it! Read more
